

Rocky Mountains are an elevation system inserted among them, also called mountain ranges. They get a maximum height above the sea level at 4.399meters high in Elbert Mont in Colorado, it is just in the Central-west of United States.
Rocky Mountains are parallel to occidental coast, on the North-south. From the North of Britain Columbia, Canada, up to New Mexico in United States, covering a length of about 3.220kilometers (2000 miles).
The Rocky go through Canada between the plains of the West in Alberta province and the landing of the Britain province. On the South, the ranges go down and get wider occupying more surface in the state of Wyoming, and on the South, in Colorado state, the join again, forming a lot of not so high ranges.
Of course a lot of freeways and railways let you watch their beauty. Rocky Mountains are also a very important natural source very attractive for tourists. And don´t forget they are really well prepared, all around, as holiday resort and with a great variety of sport to practice in winter.
